She is on a personal mission to change the way people think about feedback, and encourage them to embrace it 10% more (or hate it 10% less…). Her 2020 book, Feedback Fundamentals and Evidence-Based Best Practices distills findings from decades of research into actionable, approachable tools for work and life. In addition to leading Ocular, a consulting practice that focuses on complex talent and people challenges, Brodie also advises several HR tech startups, including Loupe, a feedback platform that actually aligns with feedback best practices. Brodie is also an executive coach with the Boda Group and a part-time professor at Georgetown University. Her latest book, The Coaching Shift, aims to make coaching skills and a coaching mindset accessible to all. Brett Hurt is the CEO and co-founder of data.world, a Public Benefit Corporation (and Certified B Corporation®) that is the platform for modern data teamwork and the world’s largest collaborative data community.
