Dear Culturati Insider,
Last night was one for the books. We brought back the Entrepreneurs’ Invitational and filled the room with founders, operators, investors, and friends—a mix of old Austin energy and new. The best part was watching people lean in to catch up, make new connections, root for each other, and laugh across tables. That feeling of belonging is why the Invitational matters, and it’s exactly what we try to cultivate through Culturati.
Many congratulations to the evening's winners including our very first Courageous Capital Award to Silverton Partners. Coming in first place at our High Roller Tournament, congrats to Vinny Lingham, co-founder of Praxos Capital Management. The General Tournament featured, in third place: Morgan Flager, Managing Partner of Silverton Partners; in second place: Branigan Mulcahy, co-founder & CEO of Virdee; and in first place, directing our $10,000 grant to Issue Voter, Adam Lyons, founder & CEO at REALLY.
IssueVoter is a nonpartisan civic engagement platform that makes it easy for people to track and influence the specific policies their elected officials vote on. Instead of focusing on elections every few years, IssueVoter keeps citizens informed year-round. Users can choose the issues they care about, receive short, plain-language summaries of bills moving through Congress, and can send their opinion to their representatives with one click. IssueVoter then shows how each representative voted and provides a personalized scorecard over time, helping people see whether their elected officials are truly aligned with their values.
Huge thanks to everyone who showed up, dealt, donated, and played all-in. This community is special, and nights like these remind us why. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
Cheers,
Myste Wylde, COO
